I just want to share with you the truth about link building. Everyone in this forum obviously knows how links work so there's no need of explaining. Links can only be built either naturally or artificially. And when links are built artificially whether by so called white hat link building, manual link building, etc., it is downright BAD BAD BAD! Proof here: LINK REMOVED. It is clearly stated that building a link in order to manipulate rankings is a violation.
Don't listen to the BS that some overrated SEO experts/gurus/ninjas/whatever-you-call-them would claim. That in order to not get penalized, you should build WHITE HAT links because they are Panda/Penguin friendly, blah blah blah... There is no such thing as white, black, gray, or whatever color the hat is link building. Building link manually or using an automated system is a sin against the almighty Google.
I'm not mad or anything. I just want to share this piece of info from a friend to remind my fellowmen in the SEO industry. For me, there are three paths in SEO: the easy, medium and hard route.
Whichever road you take will/can/may lead to success, but make sure you're always on top. Work smart and hard and make sure your dodge rate is high enough to avoid getting b!tch slapped!
