Don't underestimate the power of taking time to do NOTHING.

Whether you take an hour per day or a day a week, mentally retreating from work and/or people is scientifically shown to be beneficial.

Alone time allows one to focus on their thoughts that would otherwise be cluttered by the common distractions that accompany our busy lives (we need time to clear our minds).

Solitude sparks creativity and increases productivity.

I challenge you to take 20 minutes out of your day, put your phone down, step away from the computer, and write down just a few of your goals and aspirations.
It's healthy to remind yourself of why you work as hard as you do. :)

Agreed - very important to step away and take breaks. Stretch, exercise, walk around the block, etc.

Very true. I come up with some of my best ideas when I take a break. I think of it like allow my brain time to do its job.

This is where meditation (GENUINE meditation) really helps.

Not everyone has the time for that though (or the time to learn how to do/use it effectively).

i agree sometimes,we need to take a break and decompress so we can be at our best , for me break means playing basketball.

Every Friday after my day job I take a few hours and go to a local park with a view and just sit down with a paper and pencil and write my thoughts. I've made some life-changing decisions at that park. Let me see if I find a picture.

Totally right! Remind me of my time in Asia, when I was backpacking and my mind was more free.
Now after those few Instagram issues, I felt I needed to slow down a lil bit. We'll see

Beautiful view! :)
No joke after a wank I am more "clear"
Okay.
Yep combine that with a cold shower, I can go from being the laziest person to writing 5, 4,000 word articles in a few hours.
20,000 words in a few hours? :O

Wank-n-write progress is the BEST (but I don't need do to it myself).

Exercising is very therapeutic.

Do some research on the correlation between physical activity and productivity.

My solo backpacking trip is what gave me the ideas to finally start a business. So much free and alone time is great for the mind.

Nowadays, my best ideas come to me when I'm walking my dog.

I've always wanted to do a backpacking journey through South America or Asia; one of these days.
