Hello guys and hope you doing well :) I have started a new, whitehat YouTube channel with a primary focus on improving content. Every single video that I post, I look into the possible ways to improve video production and editing. I post my content on TikTok and Instagram. I have received comments like "You are so underrated", "Save this comment before 1,000,000 followers", "You are actually putting effort in", but I only have 31 subs on YouTube. This is a little demotivating as I spend a lot of money for video production and time for editing. YouTube seems to not promote any of my content while having good CTR and watchtime

I was hoping you guys can review my channel and give me any tips for either improving it further or from SEO standpoint. I hope that this thread will also help other creators who are focusing on always improving production quality but seeing not a lot of results.

also @bodyanyash i get these comments daily. it is usually small accounts trying to get subs. thats it. some are legit but some are not. and it nothing but normal commenting. sorry to tell you but its true.

I loved the tatoo on your shoulder tho, Impressive blogs , but you have less content. Maybe you will grow faster after you reach your first 50 videos .

I just checked your account and some of your videos. I totally understand why you're receiving those comments.
You connect with those people without even trying just by talking about your experiences in life.

There's not much I have to add tbh. Keep doing what you're doing and upload more content. People love your content. I would maybe try to somehow brand yourself, since your account is still pretty empty.
Also work on your thumbnails. If you don't know how to do it just hire someone for a few bucks. They need to be more catchy. Titles could need a bit of optimization as well. But your content is defniely on point!

I just watched your videos as well. You have to know that restoring toy cars is a super small niche. It will be quite hard to grow your account in this field, but it is possible.
I think your thumbnails and titles are the gate openers to your video. In your videos you show two different states. One where the cars is completely dirty and abandoned and one where it is super clean and nice. Your thumbnails could portray this. You want users to get excited to watch your videos just based on the thumbnail. Right now I'm just seeing dirty cars which no one wants to look at. If I was you this would be the first thing I would work on. Titles could need some work as well. No one is going to search for "C8 Corvette completely destroyed".

The problem with showing old/new car is that the CTR is significantly lower. I tried that already. Will work on titles.

You should make thumbnails. A lot of people basically put a shortened variation of their video title in their thumbnail because that's what people read first. I know I do. Thumbnails don't have to be graphics either. You can just overlay text on top.

For example: For the Alcohol Addiction Story video, you could put "My Story: 1 Year Sober" and immediately people know what your videos about.
 
We can clearly see you put work, passion, and hope into it. If you only posted 3 videos and you are starting to get demotivated, I'm not really sure if you are actually passionate. If you want to continue. You need to be able to afford to make another 50 videos. I am sure that some of those will end up in recommendations. I am subscribed to support you and follow the progress.

But damn! 50 videos are many cars and lots of hours of work but that's what you want to do
 
There is an obvious thing, the thumbnail. You need someone who is a pro to make people want to click on your videos.
Like, I arrived on your channel and I was like ... meh, I can't read the entire title, I won't click on a 15 min video to discover what he's talking about, and he's not famous so, maybe there is a reason.

Doing that for the past years..on different channels..be careful, youtube will shadowban you if you spam too much around. And after enough shadowbans you might get rejected from monetization.
Now i'll do the same thing for my new channel, because yes it fking works, just be kind to new youtubers and they WILL FOLLOW YOU AND BOOST YOU TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE MOON.
 
I disagree with the other poster. Your niche is not necessarily super small niche, the toy car restoration. This kind of content can fall into those "satisfactory video" kind of content. People love watching the dedication, the process and the result. It's satisfying. I personally LOVE it. Now let me show my love to such creators. This gonna be a bit long.

It's just like the speed painting or drawing, the wood carving, woodturning and so on. Right now, you may not have the pre existing audience set but once the ball is rolling, your content will reach much wider and cross section audience.

The problem with Youtube is, it doesn't matter how good your content is, they won't promote it until you promote it first... by yourself, to break the barrier entry.

There are various options to do that, depend on many things. But whatever it is, it should be about building your audience base. You do the right thing by posting it on socmed and you're doing good as you got positive comments.

YOU GOT TO BE PATIENT. The first step is always the hardest, it's baby step. You'll fall a lot more than you walk. BUT HERE IS THE THING. It will only take one momentum, and when it start rolling, you'll grow exponentially. That's how Youtube works.

YOU GOT TO BE PATIENT. No one knows when will you get the lucky chance, maybe it will take weeks, months. Just keep building your audience, little by little. It's always been like that, when you build a channel. That's how it works.

But if you just can't wait, then spend some money. Make a stunning short video compilation of best scene of your work so far. With sick soundtrack and slick animation. Pay someone if you can't make it. Then promote the stunning video using Google Ads. Buy some cheap threshold acc. Or FB ads, etc.

The reason is simple. Any channel or videos need to have certain amount of "user history", only then Youtube will start showing the videos on their outlet be it on Home page, Search Page, Suggested bar etc.

There are too many videos on Youtube, there's limited promotion spaces. Hence, the barrier entry. How algo do the ranking which one to promote in each of its outlet? "User history" on your videos or channel. You can translate it into CTR, Retention, Engagement, Cowatch, etc. You got to build this. Or you can fake it.

But I will stop right there as for now. Unless you know what you're doing, just don't. Unless you know how to "clean" those shitty traffic or engagements, it would be just a waste of money.

In short: 1. Do it yourself, be patient, socmed is good, your time will come, just be patient. 2. Promote using Google Ads, FB Ads etc. 3. Deal with the shitty SMM.

Did it yesterday on i think 20 comments and got nearly 15 more subs ~ gonna repeat it till i hit the 1k ~ it still works and why shouldn't it? It's an allowed practice as long as you don't spam and be kind!
Never mention that someone should sub, never ask for "wachting my vids" or never use the term subscriber/watch video..youtube bans you instantly for a day or two on comments
also you can find out if you're shadowbanned by writing A COMMENT, and opening up the link to that video on a seperate browser, if you can see your comment you're not shadow banned and not under the spam list.
 
Make thumbnails more clickable. And don't stop until you get to 100 videos. Then, if it's not working, you should re-evaluate the situation.

I heard a rule called 33 videos but never about 100
