[WTF] Fiverr sucks?

There is much buzz around Fiverr. So I desided to try it.
I filled in my gig. Here you can view it http://fiverr.com/142408
BUT after one day only 10 people looked at it.
So I wonder why? And how to make my gig more visible :confused:

Fiver is used by DP retards. Better ways to make 5 bucks than wasting your time there

Hi there

Firstly I'm no expert when it comes to Fiverr but the key to your success is going to be done to how much exposure your gig gets.

You can use the likes of FB & Twitter to promote your gig. If you don't have a massive amount of folowers of fans on either then you could always hire the services of another Fiverr member - many will tweet your gig to there X number of followers.

Also have a look in the downloads section here on BHW, I'm sure there's an eBook kickin around called Fiverr Domination - could give you some pointers.

Finally, and please don't take this the wrong way, are your potential customers going to be tempted by the sexy profile picture as they shop for script coding services? That type of image is probably better suited for dating site sign ups.

As I say I'm no expert and I'm sure you'll get more responses from others far more knowledgable but the above is just my $ 0.02.

Don't give up though.

are you serious? I stopped after reading the title.. at least use some spaces between different languages and don't forget to capitalize them. Also, the picture would drive me away from your gig as it looks very unprofessional.
 
Fiverr only for loser like DP.. we at BHW much better than them.. :beach_pla

I have bolded your problem. You didn't even spell python right in the title....

Aswell as that. What "good" programmer do you know will code for $5 for an hour. Especially a 1 hour job. Usually just getting the specs for a job from a customer takes longer than an hour.

In other words, let's presume you are a legit developer. You are too good to be true, and no one will buy from you.

Yea you need a different gig the most popular gigs are people are looking for cheap outsourcing. So use one were you our offering seo, article writing or traffic advise this will give better chance to get orders. Also promote gigs anywhere you can good luck

if you have earned $2000/month with fiverr, you will not say that fiverr sucks. i have earned $2500 so far, but now everythings gone! thats why fiverr sucks!
 
I agree, definitely change your profile photo. I would probably hire you to do some stuff, but I would need to also see some examples of sites you've programmed before.

Also, can you do anything with Wordpress/ html? I would put that in there-- seems like people are searching for that more than your tech specialties. Just my opinion.
 
Fiverr is really good for stuff you can get done extremely quickly, such as upload a file. it's bought me quite a few miller lites. It's like free beer money.
 
to be straight forward and to the point, your ad sucks. besides that, why in the hell would you code for such a cheap rate when you can go elsewhere and get clients that will pay you a shit load more for your time? depends on your skill level but that's beside the point. fiverr just sucks for what your trying to do and the pay is terrible. i also noticed your ad where you state your making bots for games. again, wrong place for this type of thing. do some research on whats hot and in demand bot wise right now as far as gaming goes, code the bot and set up a payment processor for it so when people pay, they get the download. you could have hundreds if not thousands of people buying your bot doing it this way instead of selling a bot to one client for a measly $4 you get from fiverr. time is money so don't waste it on fiverr.
 
i came up with a very unique gig and posted only to fiverr. also made a audio
Exclusive for fiverr.com.i spent like 4 hours to upload a demo youtube video.
and no one cares LOL.
its still a unique one. making your still image talking. yeah like talking animal animation.
