I currently work at Verizon Wireless as a Wireless Account Manager. Basically what I do is sell phones, analyze consumer accounts and troubleshoot technical problems. The thing is, 80% of my job involves old people walking through the front door and handing me their phone or tablet to fix an issue any one of us could do with our eyes closed.
So the idea came to me: how can I monetize this opportunity in order to make money off fixing these simple problems?
One of the ideas I came up with involved content lockers. So when a customer hands me their cell phone I open up a webpage of mine and download an app via a content locker I have put in place. With each install on every unique device I could earn anywhere from a few cents to a couple dollars.
Another idea was clicking through advertisements on my various websites and earning money via Adsense. A lot of these people use applications like Amazon on a daily basis so odds are if I post something that can be linked through to Amazon they might even buy it so that I can make a commission off it. Better yet, if they don’t want to buy accessories in store, I can pull up my page and fill it with Amazon offers and whatever they buy via that category within the next 30 days will qualify me for a cut, via the cookies stored on their device.
Anybody have any thoughts or ideas? I am open to any and everything. I feel some serious money could be made using a method like this. Thanks guys.
Respectfully,
Jeff
