yes, i have all those plugin on my sites. also, i have others security plugins as limit login attempts, project honey pot plugin etc and my sites never got hacked as i am hacker.

i also have strict rules in htaccess and secret settings. maybe i will create post and share about it later.

It happens, to ALL of us using wp.org ...... . sooner or later. get over it.

Looking over my emails I see I had a concerted attack on my sites over the weekend. Limiting the numbers of attempts and executing a lockout with a security plugin stopped the attackers. One of the attacks was on a site where I renamed the login script and yep that continued to attack a non-existent login file. Recommend that you all maintain a ftp program to access your sites at a file level so that even if you have a security breach you can simply delete and restore.

As to the hackers what a collection of douche bags since all they are attacking is a series of brochure sites with minimal traffic and no e-commerce.

Hey. Did you get in touch with the hosting provider of your WP site and ask them for a solution (or backup thing)? May be, they can help you if you make a polite request. In any case, make it a point from now on to keep your WP version and all the plugins updated at all the time, while changing the password of your WP site every couple of weeks.

I'm not sure if this was directed to me or the OP but I can say that contacting my host was a waste of time. Maybe I got the wrong tech person but I knew more about the topic than her.
