why not indexed? how many pages to rank?

hello everyone,

in dezember i created a wordpress site. it has a page for privacy policy, a page for legal information and a page with content (1300 words, keyword density 1.5 %, small compressed pictures with alternative texts etc.)
since then, my page isnt in google top 100 for my main keywords. it was 2 days on P72, then it fully disappeared of google top 100.

my idea was, that google doesnt like websites with thin content and few pages.

what should i do to rank? its just a small affiliate site, the affiliate links are also masked. i started to throw in a few backlinks and post my website in facebook, but that didnt help. now im thinking about to start a small adwords campagne to get traffic and user signals.

and another question - how many pages does a website need to rank? im thinking about starting another website, but it just should have a landing page with circa 2000 words. what about that idea?

IMO, unless you are using a powerful PBN / authority links your site will need to have about 30 to 35 pages of content before it starts performing well in Google.

If you are very skilled at building links, you do not need quite as many pages. But if this is your first site then you will want to have at least 30 very high quality content pages.

I wouldn't expect a site with only one content page to perform well. At least, not without at least a handful of very powerful links

IMO your page might be overoptimized. Try lowering keyword density to about 0.5% and keep keyword in title and URL + use LSI in h1. Then wait for 7 days and see if shows up in the SERPS.
