Why do you like WordPress?

now I test 3 free elementor plugin have good templates and blocks (sections) put insert a template cause often issues.
I will customize only the home page use defualt theme, so let the theme menu, header and footer intact but I get issues;

elementor template width not match the theme width (both on full width !)
elementor template shows no footer, but the other pages have footer (looks weird)
using the Hello elementor theme, worst ever, the inserted sections have different widths, above the hero header I have two titles, page title and post title and I have my logo at the top (menu looks good) and in the footer to, can't remove it from footer.

boaahhh what a pain of workflow, it looks like that not all free wp themes working well with elementor templates and sections.
Must try 10 themes before I find one that works.....this sucks but million sof people like that.

Is there a solution for this?

sorry for my typing errors here and have good night rest.
Tomorrow I will try a few simple themes to see if they working better with elementor or with gutenberg.
When I will have no luck with this, then I switch to squarespace. It is really a pain, not all themes going well with gutenberg or elementor , what a mess with that in wordpress- sorry.

For my second domain I need a more simple blog here I will using Sitepad my host provider says it is free, must ask again if there are limitations ,otherwise I must go with the SitePad paid plans.

Sorry wordpress but when your themes not doing well with free elementor sections and templates or with gutenberg (not all themes working well with gutenberg) then I can call your worldclass cms = crap.

Good night to all here

Despite being the most flexible and powerful platform, WordPress is quite easy to use for beginners.

Here in this screen image you can see how so easy the gutenberg editor is (it's not) ;
I try to add content patterns from Starter pack into the editor page, first looks good image on left and text right.
The second pattern has the image on the right side but far out from the container width.

I be not able to set this correct, tried container boxed, tried image align left in gutenberg- nothing worked the image
is placed far out from the container width - I have no idea how to set it right. Oh what is that an easy to use page builder solution this gutenberg - right?

Now I try free test version of Sitepad form my cpanel, when I have no luck with it then I go to squarespace.
Huge crap is this gutenberg thing. Yes you can try to change the template so another template maybe will working better with these blocks, but I want a theme who is showing at left my logo+site title+descriptiopn aligned, most themes not working with this, on most you can have a logo or site title bot not both.

Do you know a media newspaper site who is showing only a logo or the site title? No- they have both on their site.

And I be tired of changing themes, install then remove, install another then remove, the half day it's a tired workflow isn't ?

Have happy weekend

I like Wordpress because it is easy to learn for blogging.

Because it is free. Nothing else.

Other paid cms do everything better:
Ecommerce: Shopify, BigCommerce,
Just blogging: Wix/Webflow are much easier to use

yes yes brainwashed people today....ok be more neutral;

Now I testing sitepad builder this is an really easy to use solution compare to gutenberg editor.
Easy as Squarespace but I think you can not install plugins, then a big plus is it is similar to wordpress dashboard , also it not needs a steep learning curve. Add rows and sections is easy as with elementor or squarespace and all sections (patterns) matches well with your chosen template.

It is not like gutenberg where many patterns from gutenberg plugins not matching with well your theme width and height.
Sitepad or squarespace is an easy solution for business people who not want spend time fixing patterns and sections issues in the gutenberg editor and seo settings is same or sometimes better, when I do keyword site check, squarespace sites getting often more organic traffic than a wordpress site, I can not explain why.

Some people like it to work with wp and gutenberg editor and be more able to fixing these patterns issues , so then wordpress will be better for them.

I was not able to set my position for an code block ( newletter sign up) in hero header , it stands strong full in the middle of the image where my Title text is. Was not able to set it more to the bottom of the image with margin or padding. The code/html block has no margin+ padding settings in gutenberg, make sense for you right?

Yepp I checked again now , the custom html block has no spacing settings (no padding and margin) how to I set the position of this block into the hero header? I don't know, I can set it below the header or above .

Have happy sunday folks

My site in subdirectory with SitePad builder loads really slow , bad vital scores on pagespeed, speedsvital, etc,etc...
And I have no plugins, but TTFB on waterfall is fast 100-500ms.

Why is the site so slow? Is it because the site is installed in subdirectory?

What a pain to create an newsletter optin for hero header in gutenberg.
Only issues the whole day

Not all plugins have api keys for sender or mailchimp.
Then mailchimp free plan has no pre made templates

Sender free plan has only landing page templates- my god I new an email opt in...
Then next issue with Hustle ,ist has only email field, no first name and email, and the template
is full width looks horrible.

Sit here the whole day with the damm gutenberg to crate an newsletter optin
Then use getresponse ha sbeautiful templates but toget an API keyImust buy an upgrade plan

only issues with free plans.......
and most email marketing services are too expensive.
Can not find an free email marketing plan who has good newsletter templates and has APi integration

SitePad templates all of them load really slow , more worse than any bad squarespace site, and th etemplate shave navmenu jumps, layout shiftings onpage load, the same with the Pagelayerbuilder, site is loading fast here, but big nav jumps and layout shifts, I wonder, modern page builders who causing layout shifts on page load, they promote such crap as "best", "first class" or whatsoever.

Will try today Starter themes, kadence themes+kadence blocks+ultimate blocks. Then try as comparison Elementor (free)+ TemplateKit+ RoyalElementor Ihope I have success today, when not I will use squarespace.

When I study big "web elite" sites like byrdie (as example) they not using wordpress, hard to find out which cms they use, could not found out which cms detector tools or with looking into the source code.

Email marketing:

I think to use email marketing services, I must connect them with my email hosting?
So the subscribers emails landing in my email hosting inbox, then connect them to getresponse via smtp, so that I can import these subs to send newsletters to them via getresponse ?

Is that right? I not good in such technical setups, my brain is too slow for this sorry.....or be to old with 52 years for this tech shit....

Have happy weekend

Flexible, secure, SEO optimized, fast, unlimited plugins, and it has become a standard cms

another option a "twist setup";
use blogspot, find one of the free modern html themes with hero header and grid layout and use that with your own domain, voila!

easy to use and loading fast .
free of web hosting costs, you own the content and you can export your content to another cms.

And for me, the source code looks cleaner than the code of wp, joomla,drupal, etc,etc....

But I be not sure if you can add blocks/ sections into your home page, as you can do with gutenberg.

By the way, I think the Tailwind tool is free? Easy to design your home page structure, but Integration in wordpress is a complicated process.

Have happy sunday!

Now I have found a way to work with gutenberg= getwid plugin + kadence blocks works good so far.

But some problems I could not solve today;
Find a theme with these filters;

modern blog grid
with Logo and branding name side by side
and option in gutenberg settings to hide the damm page title, it lefts huge space on front side with your getwid sections +heading block, here the getwid Heading block is H1 the page title. It looks weird when you have H1 page title like Home then a second H1 with your slogan you want seo ranking.
In this case google will rank the H1 HOME which gazillions pages have = no chance to rank with this.

It needs hours to find such a theme in the wp theme library, a painful workflow.

Have a nice restful sunday !
Now it's dinner time here, a little steak, butter with salt and pepper, onions, and little portion of potatoe.(low carbohydrate)
Then streaming nice movies and the new episode of Stallone Tulsa King this TV Show rocks .....hahahaha yes this is the way of making business....

Tomorrow I work on to find a good theme with all these filters, it makes me tired this painful workflow.

Because it is SEO-friendly. It's easy to connect with powerful SEO plugins like AIOSEO, and this makes the blogging potential incredible.

Time Saver;
yes in the moment there are no other opportunities (free cms) as wordpress, wix, squarespace, weebly,
I will today test some Elementor TemplateKits and blocks to see if they are better than Kadece+Getwid, or making my page load very slow.

But not forget that the "Elite" who are dominating the seo organic traffics or the media newspapers not using wordpress,or wix, squarespace, etc,etc... so you can think about it why that is so ?
Why they not use it when it is the best world class seo cms ? Ok, they have the money for better more expensive cms systems.
Or they use the wordpress vip, very different and has different better code , you can not see it in the source code if someone uses wordpress vip.

Yes wordpress is good for seo, squarespace too.
I not understand why the Drupal team not has a blocks page builder with sections, the new Drupal 9 is same as the old; boring and complicated.

One opportunity I have found on the weekend; Hubspot has a cms for $23 monthly billing, but payments only for us residents if you collect payments from clients, what a shame only usa over the world, what a shame....but they have cdn include.

I be stay away from any cdn because I have really fast web hosting and dedicated ip ! I not want mask my dedicated ip with a cdn, this is not why dedicated ip's exist.

Have a nice day

I try to use a blank theme build my own so I cn have Logo+Branding name side by side
a blog with 2posts grid
without have page title

crap all these themes, you barely find there a theme without page title, who has Logo+Branding name side by side and vidsual grid blog layout.
Ah yeah, not important they are so easy to use......
