I had my website on Wix before. A very simple website for a local business with a blog. The old website on Wix has a 27 mobile performance scores on Google. Now I switch to WP with Namecheap Hosting, 87 mobile scores. My hard-written content will have a better chance of ranking.

WordPress is okay for blogging, simple websites and organic traffic. If you want to build something complex, it's not always the best option.
As for running paid traffic campaigns as an affiliate (especially for mobile offers) you're far better off with pure html landing pages combined with a Vultr cloud server for example. The slow loadspeed of WP will kill your campaigns.
