What do you say about anchored ships at the middle of the ocean? How they do not move at all while anchor is just swimming around? If earth is round and spinning they should've drift a lot.

I guess most of the conspiracies got a boost due to some old paintings and sculptures that depict a flat earth. Unless the real reason for such paintings and sculptures can be decoded, conspiracy theorists might not believe anything else they hear or see.

The earth is probably not flat.
But unless earth walked up to you, got on its knees and sucked your dick, you dont know for sure that its round either.
So its most probably round. But i dont know for sure. Convince me that its round. Give me $20 bucks and ill believe everything you say

I find interesting about flat earth theory is that it's a perfect way to introduce concepts through debunking the theory. For instances, if you wanted to call out a flat earther on navigation systems, the conversation leads into the geographic coordinate system and why it works the way it does.
So maybe to be a student of science, one needs to act ignorant enough to draw the attention of actual scientists and literally be schooled by them. Just like posing as a hot chick asking stupid questions will draw out expert opinion at no cost to the actor.
