Why are small sites struggling ?

Even with decent content, new sites barely move in rankings.
Is it still possible to grow without already having authority?
Rather than saying small websites cannot be ranked, the fact is that trust and competition have grown. The new websites do not rank bcz they lack topical authority or structural framework at this stage, which makes it difficult for Google to place them anywhere. Clustering needs to happen in one single niche only.

Yes, few sites with decent content barely move in ranking but every new site don't face this problem. It is depends on the competition level and consistently used work strategy.

It still possible to grow with the help of all technical and on-page optimization and must following the right off-page link building strategy.

I think it is still possible but the time frame is different now. New sittes usually have to prove themselves over time. Instead of trying to compete on every keyword I have found it makes more sense to focus on topics where u can actually offer value and keep improving your content consiistently.

I think it is still possible but new sites have to earn trust over time. I have found that focusing on one topic and improving existing content, can make a bigger difference than tryying to publish as much as possible.

Small sites struggle mainly because competition is much higher now and google tends to trust established domains more. Even if the content is good then it can take time to build authority and consistency before rankings start moving.

Yes, but it takes consistency. Quality content, topical authority, and relevant backlinks gradually build trust and improve rankings over time.

Small sites always struggle because they don't have authority. Google don't care about your content. All it cares about is backlinks and authority. If traffic is priority try ranking on bing and yahoo for high volume keywords.
Google in the past has relied more on authority because fully scanning every piece of content on the web is computationally expensive. So yes in effect that's obviously right. SO! Why did i even bring that up? Well, they ar e the big tech companies. Getting closer to this pinnacle. One can only wonder what would happen if AGI AI 2.0 consumed all that info. Anyway back on track lol....lol

What are you smoking? hahaha
AI is a bubble like dotcom bubble, housing market bubble, it will pop.

Absolutely. New sites r usually not lacking quality, they r lacking trust and history. The first few months are less about chasing rankings than proving uh r reliable. U do not need to be the biggest site in the world to get started – publishing genuinely useful conttent, sticking to a niche and getting a few relevant mentions can make a bigger difference than competing with established sites from day one. Patience is still a part of the game plan.

I think new sites need to earn trust before they earn rankings. I have learned that it is better to focus on answering very specific questions that bigger sites tend to ignorre than to compete on broad topics with big sites. Growth may start slow but once a few pages take off the rest of the site usually starts moving as well.

Yes, it's still possible. But content alone is no longer enough. Topical authority, high-quality backlinks, and user trust have become just as important for achieving sustainable rankings and growth.

small sites can still succeed but they need a clear advantage better content unique insights or a specific niche trying to outrank large authority sites on broad keywords is much harder than it was a few years ago

New Sites usually take longer to gain trust now, I Focus on building topical depth first, and the rankings tend to follow over time.
