I think small sites are facing tougher competition from big brands, AI Overviews, and stronger authority signals.

Small sites can still grow, but going broad from day one is the mistake. Target underserved topics, build a tight content cluster and earn a few relevant links before moving into harder keywords.

Yes, but expectations need to be realistic. Growing a new site is still possible, it just requires a long-term strategy instead of looking for quick results.
 
Small and new websites also can grow and gain ranking in google with smart SEO, unique keywords, and attractive contents.

You don’t need authority to start, but you need consistency. Regular publishing and covering a topic deeply helps more than one-off posts.

soo even fresh domains can get pages indexed and rank if content is good and have high search ?
 
My biggest mistake with new sites was making too many changes because I thought things weren't working. Looking back, I think I slowed my own progress more than once
 
i think it's still possible but it takes longer than it used to new sites need strong topical coverage a few quality backlinks and time to build trust before they start gaining traction
 
It is posible, although it may take some more time now because Google won,tbe able to trust quick growth any longer.
Nevertheless, it is still very much posible
 
Small or young? Thats totally different things. If its small - its obvious for anyone who ever tried to do seo for 1 page or 10 page sites for example. 1 page is so much harder to work with.
 
Small sites can still rank, but they need to be sharper now. Thin content, no links, bad internal links and no brand signals make it hard to compete with bigger sites.
 
yeah small sites are definitely having a harder time now, even with decent content it takes longer to move

Absolutely. It just takes more patience than before. Focus on publishing genuinely helpful content, targeting low-competition keywords, and earning a few quality backlinks. Authority builds over time, and consistency still pays off.
 
Authority helps but relevance and consistency still matter I'd rather publish useful content regularly and build a solid link profile than expect quick results from a brand new site
 
I think it can still be done. If U continue to publish useful content and target realistic keywords, your rankings will improve over time, but authoritty is not built overnight.
