IMO, I would put those as secondary metrics instead. TF would be first, and then only DA, or DR respectively. TF is harder to manipulate (though possible), but spam links will not move TF, but will move DA or increase DR. Quality links will move TF upward, which is a good metric score.

I think TF is more similar to DA

Nothing similar here.
Majestic TF is created in completely different way and it's pretty similar way to method which Google use in NEW PageRank.
For this reason TF+CF have much more value than DA.

Ahrefs is what I usually go with! DA / PA is great. Ahrefs has such good information, Majestic's trust factor is very like Googles, however the way it calculates is different and the details seem to differ more often than not.

Manually check backlinks. Both DR, DA and TF can be fooled by shitty links.
