Which is better blogger.com or wordpress.org?

I am using blogger.com for past 6 months and I've learned SEO well and posting some awesome posts with full on and off page SEO and even keywords I am choosing also have less competition but I am not ranking well.

SEO experts are saying that you are doing all great except that you should use wordpress.org than of blogger.com?

Are they right, if yes, how much a difference can vary on rankings for one who is using blogger and one WordPress?

Why not get some hosting and install wordpress on it?

It's Black Friday so you'll definitely find some cheap deals on hosting/domain.

I prefer self hosted wordpress.
There are plenty of cheap hosting out there and you will have more flexibility.

Wordpress.org means that you would have your own website and your own hosting.

Google generally treats self-hosted sites better and gives them better rankings than web 2.0 platforms like blogger and wordpress.com because anyone can register a web 2.0 and a lot more spammers use them.

Go with self hosted website and register you domain. Do a 301 redirect on your current blogger website so that your hard work doesnt goes in vein.
