Where do they get it from?

Here I come again with another noob thread, but this is the best place to ask.
I'm looking for video content, like the one the big pages post (Example, The DoDo)
Where do they get theirs from? Do they film it themselves?
I figure it's pointless to try and reupload on my page when it's already trending on theirs and I don't know of any way to remove the watermark that doesn't leave behind a blurry, weird square.
Tips?

I believe they pay for content. Users can submit content and get paid when it's used.

All big sharks do, same Unilad for example; you send the video, if they think is viral and get publish it you get a reward of 100 GBP instead.

Not a big deal.
