Hello! I launched my website on the 15th of april and even added a sitemap plugin in wordpress. When I type nameofmysite without .com in google I still can't find it. So my question is when will google index my website and content on it? Thanks in advance!

Can you find your website by using this: site:yoursite.com ? If so, your website is indexed

Submit your sitemap to google search console, there you can also Reuqest indexing of your website, that should work

Yes it appears.

It is an EMD domain a unique one? For example, trying to rank first with an EMD like "NikeSportShoes.com" it's pretty hard, not saying almost impossible for a new website.

Add to search console

Submit your content to twitter or facebook and get some visitors

I think it's EMD yes.

No need to complicate things - just send some social signals to your homepage. Drip feed them for a week, ideally. You shouldn't spend more than $10 for this. All the best!

Must proxy for a while. Is there content on the site?

You have to work on your website and wait for it to rank ( depends on how strong is your competition ). You have tons of content on the forum about how to do it properly. For example, I replied to someone else a few days ago, with some tips. Maybe you will find it useful: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/h...wordpress-blog-website.1219604/#post-13072724

Best luck!!

Thanks for the tips!

Yes, there is content.

Yes, I might do that.

So just to make everything clear, sorry if I repeat some things.. There is a difference between indexing and ranking. If you appear when searching for site:yourwebsite.tld it means that your website is indexed in google. If you want it to rank for its name without the tld, then you have to make it better than whatever ranks for the name currently. So your website is indexed, it isn't ranking yet, and that's ok. Depending on the name, it could take more or less time to get there..

Okay, I submited the .xml sitemap of my site to the Google Search Console, but now the status of my sitemap is "Couldn't fetch". Why is that and what do I do now?
