For the past two months, I've been growing an instagram page mostly related to a specific niche music/art genre. Most of the content is NOT mine, but I give credit where I can. For every 50 posts, one post is original content by me.

I just hit 2000 followers. All organic, not botting. My average story gets about 50-100 views. My average post gets between 50-250 likes, but I am using hashtags for posts.

My plan from the start was to use redbubble or another print-on-demand company to sell some clothing. Profit for a basic $20 t shirt is $4-$5.

I already have a shirt designed but am waiting to release it. At what follower count should I release it? Originally I wanted to wait till 10k so I get extra marketing features like swipe up to buy, but I'm worried I'll be missing out on revenue.

So, at what follower count should I release the shirt and put it in my bio? And will doing this and changing to a business account hurt my engagement?

Does anybody have an experience they wish to share on monetizing an account with a few thousands followers? Or selling on redbubble? What conversion rate could i expect? Thanks a ton.

Golden tip: wait as long as you can until you go commercial with your account. I think you'll probably start selling some stuff whenever you hit 50ishk, but of course you can sell something at 20k too. Just depends on your audience ;)

Wait until you get 10k to promote. You'll get much more reach with swipe up. Promoting before then is pointless.

Thanks for the tip. I'll wait longer.
