    Hello,

Maybe this is a dumb question but, how you deal with content that is duplicate for Google not to penalize it? What I mean with content that is duplicate is for example if you have an amazon affiliate store then the product description that will show same on amazon and in other sites doing the same affiliate store.

    Thanks!

You should create your own product description for every product your promote on your amazon affiliate site, there is no other better way than this.

Moderate duplicate contents are allowed as your Amazon case, just dont get it too 100% level, Or just "no index" the page of your duplicate page.

^^ This, even if using a cheap automated store you still need unique content.

Move your duplicate content to the trash and save your site. As knowing25 suggested - write unique desc. for each product or leave that project.

Rewriting content or hiring someone to do it for you is part of the job. If you're not willing to take that step someone who is willing to put in the work will likely overtake you in the future, whether Google punishes you or not.

Ok, thanks! I know writing unique content is part of the job, the only thing I was asking if there was an HTML tag or meta-tag or some way that you can put on that type of content to tell Google is not duplicate content, like happens with language tag and for example you have website for USA and for UK with the same content by putting this meta-tag "Hreflang" then you are telling Google that even this content is the same is for different countries so, Google does not consider this duplicate content. I was just looking for some similar solution.

It only works if both pages are on the same url. For example if you have 2 pages with the same content within one domain, you can use rel="canonical".
But it does not work for different domains. Google does not have any point to index and rank your content if amazon already have it.

Would be safe if you will rewrite the content. As most people here suggested, it would really be more beneficial if all of your product descriptions are unique
