Hey guys,
I am a musician; trap/rap/hip hop producer. My main thing is selling beats, but I want to get into selling drum kits and making soundbanks as well. I'm not sure how should I build my website.
There is a website called "Beatstars" where I upload my beats and it already has a store and everything set up. For 20$ a month I can purchase Pro Page v2 which looks very professional and has everything already set up, I just type in the words. This is how Beatstars Pro Page v2 looks like.
Although it's very simple, I don't have much options and freedom. I'm deciding if I should buy that, or build a Wordpress blog (I would have to buy business plan to get iframe so I could get the beatstars store working 8$) and beatstars basic 10$ (I can upload 50 beats and I get payed 100%, instead of 70% from free version and 10 beats). I could also perform SEO better on a wordpress blog, so there's that.
Beatstars premium site also has an option to sell drum kits, but I could easily do that with WP. What are some other ways beside adsense, that I could monetize my blog with? So far I came up with selling beats, selling drum kits & soundbanks, adsense (ads). Is there anything else? Maybe selling site placement?
I currently don't have a lot of customers or traffic, I'm trying to build up inventory. I'm going to be running fb/instagram ads once I get set up. If you have any other idea how I could advertise my page I am open to suggestions.
