I follow 200 people but the followback ratio was terrible only 2 followbacks. what happened to instagram platform

Wrong target I think, You should target people in your niche... I have 30/40% followback with right targets

Those numbers are terrible... On a bad day you should be seeing a followback ratio higher than 20%. There are a number of factors from the photos, words listed, url name and if it gives off a spammy vibe and as @Akuma333 mentioned your targeting could be off.
