Paid tools

-Semrush [I am using it and it’s amaizing too]

If you are on a budget you can still conduct effective keyword research that includes an in-depth competitive analysis. Sure, using Ahrefs will save you a lot of time but you can´t have it both ways.

Its amazing that most of them suggest ubersuggest in some way or form while neil patel remains a controversial figure. I took the plunge this week and bought lifetime deal of ubersuggest for 125$. Thanks for validating my decision. Now i dont regret my it.

There are so many great keyword research tools like Semrush, Ahrefs on the web, but I prefer none other than Neil Patel's Ubersuggest.

It provides you with;

1. Search volume
2. SEO difficulty
3. Paid difficulty
4. Keyword ideas
5. Content ideas

I write and optimize all my articles based on keyword statistics provided by this tool, and many a time, it has helped me rank on the first page of Google.

I am a big fan of the following:

  • Ahrefs - use this for basic topic / keyword research
  • Google Search Console to find where there are opportunities to build-out existing content or create 'spoke' pages
  • Clearscope for helping identify what specific subtopics should be included in a given piece
On top of this, I use Google heavily as well.

Hope this helps.

The Google Keyword Planner is a good place to start. It's free to use and provides accurate data on monthly search volumes for keywords.

Other good options include the SEMrush Keyword Tool and the Ahrefs Keyword Explorer. These tools offer more features than the Google Keyword Planner, such as competitor data and search engine rankings.

Ultimately, the best keyword tool depends on your needs and budget. Choose the tool that best suits your needs and helps you achieve your SEO goals
