I have just read this article,

He says : "This is why I came to the conclusion that link diversity should probably be put to the back of the line of SEO factors to worry about, if not discarded entirely."

and then : "So it’s safe to say that there is no research or patents that use the diversity of links as any kind of ranking signal."

According to him, making diversity links is an old principle of seo, and that could only be justified in order to avoid leaving footprints. (For ranking purpose)

What do you think ?
Should I bother with link diversity if I am buying high quality PBN posts/Guest posts?
Should I just do it to diversify my text anchor?

"Does it really matter if a site has a mix of links from .edu, .org and .com sites? If you research the backlinks of top ranking sites you’ll find that this kind of diversity does not exist."

So run searchenginejournal into Ahrefs.

Top 15 referring domains are;

1. .com
2. .com
3. .nl
4. .com
5. .io
6. .ca
7. .com
8. .at
9. .com
10. .com
11. .com
12. .com
13. .media
14. .ru
15. .ir

Link diversity maybe will not give you a ranking bonus.
But it will definitely help you stay on the safer side when it comes to manual review.

Link diversity is good, but anyone saying that there should be a fixed percentage of each type of link is wrong. Remember this: Google wants your website to be natural. So act the more natural you can.

Link diversity is more about decreasing the risk of penalties rather than it is about boosting your rankings.

You need link diversity to dilute your anchor text profile and pave way for more powerful links like PBNs.
