What analytics plugin for WP is everyone using now?

Wondering what everyone else is using after exactmetrics made theirs a bit too expensive especially for new sites that don't make anything significant to warrant a purchase.

Are you able to see daily starts? What about real-time stats?

Google Analytics and WP Statistics. The latter is not that great but it gets the job done.
 
Google Analytics, but I don't check stats via WP backend and it seems to slow down the site.
 
I used to have a WordPress plugin for checking traffic stats from the dashboard, it kind of made the database bigger and if you have a site getting a good amount of visitors, I think it will affect the performance. I don't know for sure. So, I have stopped using any plugin for it, using GA now.
 
I use statcounter.
 
I'm guessing Jetpack is too shitty to mention here?
Anyway i use it for my low traffic sites
 
Google Analytics.
Unfortunately a tradeoff between getting FREE analytics, which is in this case you pay with your data to Google. But it's by far the best free solution that does not require your own server etc...can get very granular in tracking.

Lol I had never heard of exact metrics, literally you pay for a GA plugin? Waste...

- Either just install the GA snippet yourself
- Use monsterinsights plugin for basic stuff
- Use tag manager and do what the f you want and outdo any of these plugins

Then look at the data in GA GUI not in WP, will just bog down your site for no reason. or you can do you won dashboard through the API or datastudio...

No need to pay when using FREE ga, it's kind of silly.

PS lol 1 site costs $99 / year haha.

Pro tip
- Use Tag Manager
- Set up one template
- Now export the container
- Whenever you set up a new site, import the template container and voila you do not have to redo 99% of your tracking.

You will need to adjust some settings in GA but still beats paying for every new site to use a free product...

I had been using stat counter and it has got really impressive features.
 
I'm always using jetpack. At debugging options, I'm usually turning everything off except Site Stats. It shows everything I need. To get more detailed info for that I use GOogle Analytics.
