Website Traffic Dropping – Need Expert Advice!

Hey everyone,

I’ve been noticing a significant drop in my website’s traffic over the past few weeks, and I can’t figure out what’s causing it. My site was performing well, but now impressions and clicks are declining. I haven’t made any major changes recently, so I’m not sure if it’s an algorithm update, a penalty, or something else.

Has anyone faced a similar issue?

What steps should I take to diagnose and fix this? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Please find the stats in Semrush or Ahrefs regarding backlinks or keyword. You may see some drops during traffic declines.
 
First check the keywords those are dropping in rankings.

Then observe the backlinks to those keywords/URLs.

What do you see in it should give you an idea of what's going wrong.
 
Is it like a sharp drop or slowly declining? I remember my finance affiliate review site seeing sharp drops because of core update. 2 core updates and 2 sharp drop. Drop more than 80%.

check search console for errors, analytics for trends, and recent algorithm updates.
also, review site speed, indexing, and lost backlinks. let me know what you uncover!

I've tried to update a few articles. Make it more helpful and comprehensive. Check the top 5 serp results and see what they have that i dont. the just add what's missing in my content. For a few of the articles, I see that impressions are increasing, but not back to where it was before. Maybe I have to wait a lot longer to see.
 
Check your keyword in google search if your rank position drops. You can boost your google search position via onpage seo and offpage seo.
 
you can also gain traffic with guest posts . Try to do some guest post for backlinks

How much traffic has dropped, if by 10 percent, then it is not a fine, all site owners, with each update, cut traffic, already 4-5 updates. They introduce AI overview, and everyone's traffic drops. If more than 10, then it could be about AI content on your site, there were some changes in early March on AI content, and sites that simply generate pages in AI chatbots fell very sharply.
