I'm sure it'll start climbing, or even dancing around a bit. 2 days are too early to tell anyways.

This is SEO 101 - When you get aggressive with link building, for example, a high PR link, your website won't just sit at its ranking and then move up (most of the time). It's going to disappear and then re-appear where it should after google takes that high PR link into account.

Sounds like a dance to me. if the new linking domain is strong and your current link profile is weak it's normal, just don't get scared and remove the link.

Check webmaster tools incase you got a manual penalty.
1 link can't tank your website, Google isn't that stupid. If it could, then just put a link on other websites and sink them. I think the other links caused your site to fall, or maybe your site is just dancing. But if it's dancing, it's because your overall link profile is unhealthy. The dance isn't caused by this one link.
