I recently purchased an expired domain to use to boost my sites rankings. It has 4.6K backlinks, 20+ moz authority, and backlinks that don't look spammy. However I made a post and added 3 links to my site and now the rankings have dropped into oblivion. Is this normal after you link from a pr/blog network site? Should I just get rid of it?

Did you let the site index first... also did you add a co-citation to another authority site to cloak your links??
Yes I let it get indexed first so it was showing the new content in Google. As for co-citation, I linked to an authority site in my niche does that count?

Yep different host/ip. From what i've read 3 links seems ok (1 link to homepage, one to inner page, and an img link). Maybe it will come back up in the next few days

A lot of times it's normal for your site to lose ranking when you add a strong link and later re-appear stronger.
If you have added the link not more than 7days then give it 14 to 21days to know your actual ranking which often comes out better and stronger..
Another thing that could be the problem is, the domain might not be strong enough.
Did you use original content? It doesn't have to be readable.
Also, adding 3 links reduces the strength.
Are the links highly relevant and on the home page?

I wrote one 350 word unique post about my keyword, however that is currently the only article on the site. Do I need to write more?

This, in my experience, has always been a good thing
When my sites drop from the SERPS but are still indexed, they *always* come back stronger.... so just wait a few days, and update us here too

The content doesn't have to be about your keyword neither should you optimize it for your keyword.
Just write an article in your niche and use your anchor in it.
If you buy a domain, it's expected that you should create the replica of the site.
If it has 5 pages then you need five pages/content.
I have been building links using SEnuke but I doubt it is that, as the rankings tanked very shortly after linked from the PR site. I'll just see what happens in the next few days.

Its sounds to me like a google dance... If you have linked using co-citation and the content is readable then its all good.... You should carry on building links so that the rankings stable.. Typically you should use high pr web2.0s etc..
