I have an existing website a web designer did for me.

Recently i start using avada theme and very happy with it. I want to design some pages using avada.

Is there a way to do it without damaging existing one ?

Or shall i create the website from scratch ? (Also can i do it without shutting down the old website )

You can, but if if you're not that knowledgeable about web designing, choose to create the website from scratch, so as not to damage it. -Micah

I am not that experienced so i will do it from scratch. So in order to do it shall insall a new wordpress to a new folder ?

Create a new page, put a password on it, and design your page, when you have done make the page go live.

If you're trying to make a brand new website with a brand new theme I would recommend getting your own hosting package just to master WordPress. Thats what I did when I started learning the ins and outs of WP. Especially when it comes to installing and customizing themes.
