Just grasp the basic ideas, concepts and methods firstly. Only by your skills as a designer you can make some pretty good money if you're a little fluent and know how to sell a bit.

If you trying to say that if you learned PS, SEO and illustration in order to learn to develop a website, you don't need any of that.
You need to learn html/css and/or wordpress (and some other cms) for developing wbesites. Mind you, making a website is a generized term and there are hundreds(maybe a little less) of programming and scripting language you can use to do that.

FIrst learn how to convert those photoshop designs that you have learned to make, to html. Once you master that, then learn some PHP and Mysql and you are ready to go. Keep in mind, mastering these take time. So don't expect to be the best once you start... Give it time and you will slowly become one..
