It's $99 a year on the main site. Is there somewhere you have to go to get it at $10-12?

As everybody mentioned get unique IP's.... Blog farms are the way to go frankly as google is getting smarter and smarter on a daily basis. So get hosting with different C class IP's
OR... you can setup wordpress.com/blogger accounts and associate a domain with the blog.
In the end the 20 websites you would get would all have c class IP's and you dont have to worry about a thing like host management etc

Wordpress is like $10-12 a year... wayyy cheaper than any SEO hosting
Why it's better for seo to associate a blogger account to a domain?

Even if I have privacy on those domains i still have to have different information on each and everyone of them? Well godaddy wont let you put a different registrant name on every domain that you purchase.
Basically i figured this will take lot's of time and energy to accomplish
i figured i will need:

separate servers,
separate Whois info,
and the style of linking
on each site.
Is it worth it? Also based on the research i don't think using Blogger will help. Owned by Google.

thats what my private network is filled with. I'm thinking that I wouldn't think twice about buying 2 coffees for $3.50 each, so I snap up those $7 domains. My network is at about 40 now and I have about 20 more domains to organise hosting for.
I plan on it growing to about 200.

I'm actually in the process of building up a "fairly" white-hat blog network for my employer.
I provide SEO for law firms, and we started building our network maybe 6 months ago.
Currently we have about 6 microsites live, and have another 5 in the works.
I have my interns do a bunch of pretty basic backlinking to each one when we launch it (directories, some web 2.0's, etc) using links that we know index quickly and provide some nice link juice.
All domains are bought from different registrars, all are private, and all are hosted on seperate c-class servers.
I'll admit there are still some footprints between the sites I'm aware of, but one of my goals is to minimize them as much as I can.
Our goals with these blogs is mostly to drive more traffic and clients to our main website, as well as build up some nice PR sites we have control over.
Our first two sites (launched less than 6 months ago) already have PR's of 2, and the rest are following suit.
We publish content every day across these sites (a 300-400 word article) and probably get around 1500 uniques month to the top performers.
This doesn't seem like much, of those 1500 maybe 200 make it to my law firms main website, but since a conversion in this field can equal a 150K lawsuit they are working quite fine.
That's more-so of a traffic view of our network.
SEO-wise these are growing into some nice backlinks to have. I use the network when trading links with other lawfirms (three way linking and guest posts) and they are starting to attract some links naturally on their own. I occasionally have done VERY small batches of profile or comment links to some web 2.0's that point to this network (on the next tier) but other than that it's manual link building to get them started.
This is definitely a long-term endeavor for us. With 6 active blogs and 1 post per day we are publishing around 30 articles a week.
For us, the key here is really just continuing to publish decent content to this network. If we lapse for a week on certain sites the impact is obvious.

Yes, it is still working. Go get a 10 blog on 10 different hosting and you are good to go.
What if i get just one server and host all blogs there. Will not link blogs with each other only with the main site which will be separate in a different server ?

Register all domain names with different whois. No need to bother with private registration, just use different details each time.
Then go find some free hosting for each domain. http://www.freewebspace.net/ is a good place to start finding your free hosts.

I've done this with as few as 6 satellite sites reg'd, 3 to 5 quality articles on each, linking to the money and occasionally interlinking. A few of them are top 10 for their long tail with no seo efforts at all. The money is now #1 for half the terms and top 5 for the rest. So yeah, this can work well.
It depends on what you are planning to do. If you are planning to put the same content on all your different sites, then it's not worth it. google will quickly mark all those sites as a network and devalue links from them. You might see initial boost, but then you will see a drop in rankings, if not penalty.
Are you planing to use one domain and host blogs on subdomains? If so I would not recommend this tactic either, since links from subdomain have very little value.
In conclusion, this technique will work if executed properly, but it will cost more than it worth, so I would suggest to find some bloggers and write a guest post for them. They will give you a link to your site/blog in return for your article. You won't have to spend money on domains, you will get 5 very valuable links from 5 established blogs and you will need to write only 5 articles instead of 25. Also guest blogging is a 100% white hat technique, so those links will not be devalued. Seems like much better deal.

If you do this from the same IP then your Money site and all those blog will be definitely hurt. But by using proxy can solve it. i think the best way is to hire some other countries Webmaster and convince him to make you some blogs and back link it to your site
