USA vs smaller country

Hi! I'm looking to start a dropshipping store and I'm still not sure which audience it would be better to target it at. I've chosen a niche and USA has way more people interested in it but I'd need to spend way more advertising. I was also thinking about opening a store targeted at people in my country in Europe but people might not be as interested in the products, however advertising might be much easier. Which is the better option? How much would I need to spend per day to get a profitable result advertising in the USA? I'm thinking about using FB + IG ads.

Fashion/subculture-related.
I haven't thought about Reddit ads, I feel like most of the users wouldn't be interested in it. I don't really want to disclose many details but I've seen similar businesses that do well on Instagram and Tumblr.

Go for Pinterest. Open up a board and start taking professional pictures and post it on the board.

I am thinking too in beginnig with dropshipping, but my webpage would be overall focused in makeup and some clothing for women, i think the broader the audience the better, but i am overall focused in english talking countries, would you like to talk about it?

If you use kwfinder it allows you to cheek the search volume of the keywoed by country I would suggest cheeking your country for you read key word as well as your keyword with buy in front of it and best in front of it then your see the monthly search volume for your item in your country and will know weather there's a demand or not

Ultimately it's based off profits. If you can rank high for another country, but not that many people are interested in the fashion, then it could lead to low profits. You want to maximize. If you can get a decent amount of traffic from the US then you can earn a lot. If you can't, then dominate a smaller country and rank high on it. You won't get as much as ranking high on US, but at least you are making more than if you were very low rank in US.

Make sure to use a keyword tool to check and see how competitive your keywords are.

This is purely based on my experience, drop shipping in countries except U.S.A didn't net me any profit. First, epacket is available on almost all products if you select U.S.A and finding a good product which has epacket shipping for other countries is fucking hard. I have 12% return rates in U.S.A and same niche I have 58% returns/cancellations for other countries, why? because it akes a package 1+ month to arrive. In the age of amazon next day delivery no one is going to wait 1 month to get their ordered product.

No comparison can be drawn between the US market and any other though. I'd rather suggest you to target the US.

That is true, however I have a different shipping method I was thinking about but it still takes some time. I would also have tracking numbers so I would have some proof when dealing with chargebacks. But still, USA has way more buyers.

Thanks for your advice! You're probably right, some niches are very rare in other countries and might not bring as much if any profit at all.
