One of my cleint have static html website and he now wants to change the website from static to dynamic in html so i want to ask if we do that will seo get affected in any way and if yes what the are measures should we take to avoid?

Do give your suggestions as cleint has already spend 3-4 years on seo of the website and he really don't want any isues with the seo of the website.

Thank you

That change is usually beneficial for the site.

You should not delete any content but the adjustment to making it dynamic is not a bad idea in general.

Thank you but what i am asking is if we change into dynaic will the seo get affected?

Changing from Static to Dynamic won't change the META data in the header, so it will stay the same.

If you redirect to the new url that is without html extension through a 301 redirect, then your rankings if in any case drops, will come back in a week or two.

If you are planning to convert a static HTML website to a dynamic website, then there are a few things you need to keep in mind to avoid any negative impact on SEO:

Keep the URL structure the same: Ensure that the URL structure of the dynamic website is the same as that of the static website. This will help maintain the SEO value of the existing URLs and avoid any loss of traffic.

Redirect old URLs to new URLs: Use 301 redirects to redirect the old URLs of the static website to their corresponding URLs on the new dynamic website. This will help maintain the link equity and avoid any broken links.

Optimize the new website: Ensure that the new dynamic website is optimized for search engines, with the right meta tags, header tags, and other on-page elements.

Use a sitemap: Generate a sitemap for the new website and submit it to Google Search Console. This will help Google discover the new URLs and index them faster.
