So I have a lot of Instagram accounts that I have been using to push my products, I am using the parent / child method to gain traction and follows to my parent Instagram account, Some of my account I am using to get followers are pretty women that I have had model for me. The thing is I am getting a bunch of theses offers to do UGC content in their DM's lol, or just to wear the item and give photo, of course it always results in a signup to the actual site where I am able to see the UTM parameters in the URL knowing this is affiliates, although it does actually take you to an affiliate portal to signup on the site and after signup they claim they will credit the account to order the product.
The hustle looks pretty good, but clearly I am not signing up to anything, my question is what is the actual method here? the only thing I can think of is that the affiliate cookie will get stored when clicking the link, and that maybe they believe that person will find something interesting and buy something so they get commission? Just seems like too much work for someone to just visit the site.
I am sure a lot of you have come across this as well..... Any idea?
