Traffic for a joke site, I'm really lost here...

Okay I decided to put up a jokes site about a month ago. I put some jokes on it, blonde, emo and dirty jokes... you can see it for yourself

I put adsense ads on it, that is my source of income and I plan to keep it that way because the CTR is pretty good.

Now the problem is traffic, I know that there are alot of threads here that discuss on how to get traffic, and I do get decent traffic for my other site which is adult. But this is different, I get almost all of my traffic from youtube for the adult site(posting sexy videos), and I can't implement the same system for the joke site.

So do you know of any way(free) that you can do to increase traffic to a joke site.

I already posted backlinks on many social bookmarking and social networking networks, listed it in search engines, posted in forums, some link exchanges. I done loads of things but still can't get traffic to it. thats why I'm asking here..

(traffic is only 5-20 uniques daily :/)

Did you put a relevant jokes on forums/social sites with more jokes here or just regular backlinks?

Get them to laugh, and they'll follow you

Do some text message spam. Make/copy some good jokes that will virally get sent to more and more people.

Just some thoughts, don't have a joke site - but if I did, I would try these methods.

Stumbleupon, that kind of content goes down well with social networks, that and SEO. Try bookmarking demon.

Try youtube again with videos of stand up comics.

i'm really opposed to sharing ideas as they get saturated, but i'll share this one as i never thought of a way to using it and probably won't in the future.

rather than make a joke site, why not make a daily joke and riddle video for youtube. have three screenshots. the first being the joke or riddle (i.e. why'd the chicken cross the road or what's black and white and read all over) and the second be the punchline and answer. the third screenshots is a website for users to submit their own joke/riddle and be entered to win a prize based on views and ratings. the website has a registration landing page. collect e-mails and do whatever you want with tme and monetize the actual website with cpa banner and what not. or you can be dishonest about on youtube and just get people to go the joke site (i'm guessing the joke site is a cpa site that pays on leads. is that right?) and look around for the "submit your joke button" that really doesn't exist.

go and get a bot that youtube boosts traffic (there are several on this website) and just like that you should have a technique that should get you a good following.
