Depends on the plugins. You can have tons of lightweight plugins on an optimized site, but a few heavy ones can be enough to slow your site down.

Autoptimize and RankMath are the first two plugins I download.

I notice some users have suggested Yoast SEO, but RankMath has easily surpassed that plugin years ago. Migrating from one to the other is incredibly easy if you haven't done it already.

Just remember that the more plugins you'll have, the slower and weaker your website will get. Just use what you need

For optimization you can use : Wp-Rocket
Also, some WP mail smtp,WP all on one migration

Normally its better to not exceed 20

People talking about contact forms - I use ninja forms. They are very good and you can use it on I think 20 websites for just $99/year.
