OK maybe that is why. Peter Shif thinks it's a pyramid scam you can listen to his podcast he has been saying this like the last 10 podcasts.

He is afraid that BTC will take market cap from Gold. And he is invested heavily in Gold. If BTC is a pyramid scam then Gold is too. They work in similar ways.

Pyramid scam is something totally different. I suggest you do some research and know more about how cryptocurrencies in work in general. That being said, I agree that 90% of crypto projects are total scam.

I have listened to Peter since before 2008 when everyone was telling what a moron he was about 2008 and 100% he was correct on every thing on BTC he even said it mighgt go to a million Euro before the piramid crashes
Now it's hard to prove if BTC will stay forever like every says except Peter but I follow him and 100% of everything else is correct and every "honerable" economist on TV spits on this "looser".

It's reaching new highs but I wont be buying anymore now, I know it's nearing the top when kids I went to high school with are telling me how they bought Bitcoin and Ethereum lol maybe it'll run up to $30K or more this time around even but I think like every other time it will then hemorrhage down very hard until it's found a new moderately higher value than what it was hovering the previous run so maybe bitcoin sits around $16K in 2021, a good gain for those holding for the last few months however a loss for all those just getting in now.
I could be totally wrong though I'm just guessing entirely however when bitcoin ran to $1K, then just about $20K before, the party came to an end when random idiots started telling me about how ripple is headed to $5. lol.
