After recent Panda updates, we have all learned that anchor text diversification is crucial. Not only will it help your site rank better, but Google is now working on an over optimization penalty that can hurt your site if you only build links with your main keywords. Not to mention, diversifying your anchor text is really really easy.

This post will be very basic, but a lot of people have not caught up with anchor text diversification yet so it is important to understand.

Here are a few basic suggestions:

    1) Use LSI keywords - This has been big for awhile. I find that the best way to get a good list of LSI keywords is to enter your keyword into Google's keyword tool and copy all of the suggested results it gives you. Nothing better then LSIs suggested by Google. Generally I'll use anywhere from 50-500 LSI keywords (depending what kind of backlinks I am creating)

    2) Add some natural ambiguous keywords. I call these keywords "Call to action" Keywords. They consist of things such as "Read more", "Click here", "Click here for more information", "More info here." You get the point. Use keywords that point to your site but don't use your keywords. This looks really natural and is very important.

    3) Use your actual site url for some anchor text. This is pretty basic but a lot of people forget about it. Within this, you want to diversify as well. Use "http://example.com" "Www.example.com" "example.com" and "http://www.example.com"

If you use all three of these methods you should be pretty well set for anchor text diversification. I use this for all tiers of my backlinking strategies.

Feel free to add more suggestions or ask questions.

I apply it to all levels. Keeping in mind, you will probably want to blast your main keywords a little more so they have a stronger presence. But these anchor diversification methods are great for all tiers.

Or to use keyword anchor link to money site from tier 1, and from tier 2+ to use diversificated anchor links, like "call to action" and url of website.

I also heard using things such as .com/ and .com to show organic linking building.
