This is a little eye opener for those of you guys in the US, UK, Australia about what blackhatting means for us here.

Most of the journeys I've read tells of people earning at least $100.00 per day. That 100 dollars could literally feed a family for a month or two in my country. I've seen impoverished families having a meal of soysauce and cooking oil mixed with some rice every day. Actually the minimum wage here is around 10 dollars per day. So you could see why some people from where I come from would go nuts at the opportunity of earning 100 dollars per day. Around 80 percent of our population lives on a 250 - 300 dollars per month wage. Most are below the poverty line. To break it down a little bit more a monthly budget of a "2 children + wife + husband" family would come down to:

    50 dollars for rent
5 dollars per day on food (round 120 per month)
1 dollar per day for the kid's allowance to school that's round 40 per month
5 dollars for transportation to work

10 dollars for the water bill
    10 dollars for electricity
    ----------------------------------------------
    TOTAL OF: 235 dollars

That's without any medicines and they're still probably in debt and that debt adds up per month quickly. If your lucky to have a minimum wage job. We have very high unemployment rates.

So guys when some of us from third world countries are asking for help please remember what I told you in the paragraph above. They're trying to earn money to keep their family sheltered, educated and fed. They're most probably not trying to earn for a luxury, they're trying to earn to get by.

They are most probably getting acces to Internet Shacks that rent out Internet Access for round 45 Cents per hour.

I'm lucky enough to be in a middle income family which is barely 30 percent of the population. Actually my family is still in a bit of a binge since we're several thousand dollars in debt. Along with the fact that I'm trying to start a family with my gf. That's why I try to help those Indian guys with horrible grammar. :) I try to push them in the right direction as much as I can. :) I can feel them. Some BHW members are from Africa, Vietnam, etc. also. Actually we make up a lot of the percentage of Noobs in BHW. :) They're the guys asking, in poor English, how to make a quick buck. Probably not out of laziness but out of desperation. I'm not saying that there aren't lazy couch potatoes among us but in general we're just trying to make out a living. So try to be patient with us. We're just trying to earn a living, just like you.

Thanks to the many Vets who are kind enough to answer some of my questions. And to those guys in the Journey threads that are inspiring me to push on.

(Exit with Sad Violin Music in the Background. Light fades. Black) :) :D

Seriously though. BHW's giving me hope. I hope to start a journey thread after I've absorbed more of the knowledge and wisdom that BHW is giving. My initial target won't be that big: round 10 dollars per day. Don't worry I won't be posting "How to earn 100 dollars per day?" :). BHW's flooded with that already. Will be lurking a bit longer but hopefully I'll be posting a thread to help others in a months or so.

I don't mind at all helping people, no matter what country they come from. However, this is my experience with 3rd world (and some 1st world) people:

They don't think about long term. A lot of them are looking to make a quick cash-in now by exploiting some flaw or a marketing technique that's available today and then go on looking for the next big thing. Instead, they could build up something that brings value to their market and recurring income.

I'm no saying everyone does this, I'm simply sharing what has been my experience so far over the years with dealing with people from 3rd world countries. You guys have lots of smart people. If most of you were to change your perspective on how you built your business, you wouldn't need to read posts on "how to make $10 a day", but you'd be reading posts on how to build a long lasting online business.

I would like to move to wherever you are living where rent is 50 dollars. 600+ a month is killer while at school.

That 50 dollars is enough to house a 5 person family. Actually some sleep on the floor of the house, fitting 15 people in a 20 feet x 20 feet area. Sadly condoms are not that popular here. :)

I'm from the Philippines Master of Money.
Yup, that's true, sadly. Most we're educated in a "get a job after college" mentality. Few are really prepared for business ventures that are not of the "get rich quick" scheme. They're not really lazy. There are cases here where manual labor here for 8 hours which get you around 4 dollars is the norm, but people still grab it because jobs are hard to find. But since the recent developments from Noynoy Aquino's administration thing are getting a little better.

Great perspective and a nice outlook on the life of many people who we overlook often.
Many times we see a username but forget their is a real human behind it.

Edit: Just wanted to add. Just because someone is from the US, UK, Australia or other deemed developed countries
does not mean they are not fighting the same struggles. Just means the dollar value is higher and sometimes their is more
regulation and bullshit to deal with. You cannot take short cuts like in developing countries. You cannot have 20 family members
living in one house for long until your butt is kicked out.

Not only are you poor. You cannot afford the standard of living set in your country.

    Cheers!
    Unclemike

Actually I did mean condoms. :) In reference to our high population versus available shelter.

That's some serious bullshit. You can take away a man house, car, pet, job and shoes. But you start taking
away a mans condoms and your asking for a revolution :p

Hey OP thanks for posting that, I can see that you have a HUGE advantage over most if you use these advantages wisely. You dont need alot of money (by US, UK, AUS standards for instance) and you write English pretty darn well.

I know it seems saturated but BHW is ALWAYS looking for content and I think you could do well as a writer on this board.

    Just a suggestion.

I am sure you have other skills.

Thanks Getwhatchuwant! That was a boatload of motivation for me right there. :) How can I get to be a writer for the board? I'd be interested in that even if there's little or no compensation. BHW has given me a wealth of knowledge in the few months that I've been on board, not to mention the hope and inspiration I've been getting from the vets, and I'd like to give back to the community.

What he means is you could open a B-S-T and offer writing services. There are many people in IM that cannot use English properly so you could earn a lot and it would help them too. At least, that's what he means I think.

Thanks for that. I thought he meant I could write "for" the board. LOL. :) I'll try to scrape up some money so I could be JrVip so that I could post a B-S-T. It never came to mind that I could write for the members that are not native English speakers. By the way thanks for the AddMeFast macro RW. That was way cool of you to give it away for free. Hope I could give back that way one day.
