They Are Reviewing My Account?

Ok, so I've contacted adwords support to figure out the reason behind not displaying my ads, though they were displayed yesterday...

They still show as "Active" despite not receiving any new impressions this whole day. Here is their reply:

"Hello,

I understand you're concerned about the visibility of your ad. It appears
your account is under review. We periodically review accounts for security
purposes and to verify billing information. I'll consult a specialist team
regarding the status of the review and will provide you with an update
shortly. We sincerely appreciate your patience."

Ok, so how long does this usually take? I've still haven't heard back from them for a whole day.

any update on this? I just started a new account yesterday and I'm still waiting on my ads to show up in the search. they are slowly starting to show up in content but nothing in search yet. My guess is they are still under review.

google= opposite of free market

I'm getting curious and I think other people would also like to know how this ended.

I opened an Adwords account last week and used the prepay billing method, my ads started showing within 1 hour after the first payment via cc was made, that was 2 hours after account creation.

It is hit or miss with google, sometimes they are fast other times they just like to drag things out...I guess it it there way of filtering peopel out...who knows...I would give them a day and then contact them again.

I'm having same problem too, any tricks?

Yes, sorry for not updating the thread. Everything is fine now and I learned lots of stuff during the past coupla weeks.

Tips:

- Comeup with GOOD ads that bring good ctr and you should be fine with google. This is basically their way of telling you that your ads suck. LOL!

Google will first extensively test your ads by placing you on first page for a whole day or so. If your ctr is low, they will treat you like this and pause your account for BS reasons.

Afterall, if you don't make money, they don't. You are just taking up space they would've given to a better advertiser.

- If you can't comeup with good ads, then just steal the ads of your competitors that have been there for a while and twist them a bit to suit your needs. Always split test.

Run two ads for each keyword or ad group to determine which one is better and has better ctr.

- I assume that you have done your work with your landing pages. Relevancy is the key here. Your targeted keywords should be in the h1 and title tags. Also mentioned a few times in your page, with a couple bolded out or made links.

- Have a privacy policy and contact pages linked to your landing page. Very simple ones... nothing fancy. Make them tiny links and at the very bottom.

- A big advantage is if you link TO other authority sites and a blog. Just start your own blog and put two to three posts there. Even copied from other sources. Google loves blogs and when its spiders hit your blog link, they'll give you more respect.

Remember to make these links small and towards the very bottom of the page. You don't want your visitors to click on them. They are only for google bots. LOL!

There are many other tips, but my prob is that I can't summarize and will most probably endup writing an essay. The above tips would do for newbies though.

I don't advise using content network unless you have a winner campaign and know what you are doing.

content network = eats your adwords balance in no time

luckily its alright when you have unlimited free advertising =() lol

same problem,... even my quality score is 10/10 but my ads is not showing,... wtf...
