I have currently deactivated CF due to problems with WordPress 4.5, so this might be causing you some problems I don't know.

It's not that much plugins mate. And as you an see, my site is not slow at all.

Nice guide, the main improvement over standard hosting is the CDN though. I've owned sites that became uber fast simply because by using Max CDN.
Don't forget the hosting either, switching from shared to your own plan is a huge gain for little technical work too.

Yes mate, slightly. What really improved speed even further was that WPX Hosting added some new features to their plans. It's really the best WordPress hosting out there right now. My site is loading lighting fast.
Uhh maybe I'm missing something but is that your own hosting company you're promoting and pretending it's not?
