The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

how many times is the brand model number keyword mentioned ?

you can't sit there and go well Google hates affiliate links so I'm only going to put 1 into my article ... the whole purpose it to make money.

have you even looked at other sites as I asked you too - too see what they are doing ?

Those are my answer.

Read the thread on Seo - I really don't feel like repeating myself -- the part I haven't mentioned though is the whole goal is to provide a broad link base of platforms -- so that's what you should be trying to do in combination with the Seo Strategy.

That's an excellent response. Thanks.

the only place you want your affiliate links is on your website.

use those other methods to drive traffic to your website.

if you don't send traffic through your website -- then your running the risk of losing your account with Amazon and not getting paid.

Wait wait wait.. So basically for a premium theme, I have to buy it again for each site I use it on?

when you buy a theme they normally offer choices

a. Single - means you are allowed to install only on one site
b. Multi - means you can install on as many sites as you like - however sometimes it maybe limited to 20 50 100 -- more often than not its unlimited.
c. Developer - means you can install on multiple unlimited sites - and then turn around and sell them to other people -- or alternatively use for Client Sites.

Depends what you buy - I always buy the Multi Licence myself.

All I see is "regular license" for $30-100 and extended license which is always $2250.

Both seem to allow only one which is pretty stupid imo.

Rather stick to my downloaded copy of them in that case :D

Woke up to this. :( Did i get penalized? as far as I know I only did whitehat SEO. Yahoo answers, niche-related forum posts, I did outsource press release and web 2.0 submission, though. Is this solvable?

I finally finished reading the whole post, thanks Danny for this great thread and all who contribute their experiences, I am excited to begin my journey through amazon ....

questions:

allows other people's comments on their website or not, as in some examples you present?

someone tried to position a website in Spanish, but associated with Amazon? amazon not penalize for that?

sorry for my bad English, and may have noticed that it is not my native language and I am very interested in this project.;)

greetings..

The regular license can be used for multi site that you own. The extended license is for those who want to use the themes on their clients' site.

Great thread so far, I am attempting this very method. I was wondering, do you create Facebook and Twitter profiles for your money sites? Also, which amazon ad do you have the most success with(image only, text only etc)? Much thanks.

EDIT: I was also wondering if you set all outbound links to amazon as nofollow. Sorry for so many questions.

2 months old.

I'd imagine you have 2 problems - and this applies when you buy Services

* No Anchor Text Diversification
* You Can't Make Web 2 and Blast Them With 50,000 Links in the first 3 months -- you have to do basic Seo and let the Site rank naturally first... you can refer to the Seo Guide in the thread.

** If you want to target Spain - then you need Spanish Amazon not American Amazon Account

** Well Comments are up to you -- alot of people write comments for their own websites -- others allow comments - for smaller sites don't think comments make much difference for a larger site where you only have 1 or 2 then sure maybe its a good thing.

If you make Facebook/Twitter - that's really where you want the most Social Interaction about your website if that's possible - for me Pinterest is better traffic source -- but you know its different in every case really - depends where you put your effort.

Dan, thanks for your thread. I'll read the whole post here, I think Amazon is the way to go for serious marketer.

Thanks .. I agree it should be perhaps as much as 50% of your online income -- but you still need to diversify as with anything web based when your relying on Google you can always get screwed at some point.

I really made sure to use the services that had pretty good reviews and not so much blasted links (like 100-150 links in tier 2 of the web 2.0s) So I have to start from scratch again? New KW, articles, etc? Or I could still turn this around? :)

It's hard to turn penalties around, even algorithmic penalties.

In my experience it's far easier to start again and this will save wasted effort when you (probably) fail at trying to fix things.

You could still target the same KW, even use the same articles...just get a new domain. For the articles you can 301 redirect them (risky) or wait for then to drop out of Google's index and put them on the new site or re-write them so they are unique.

As above :

* New Domain
* Rewrite Content so its Unique

Move Slower on Seo - no web 2 - no spamming comments as tiers etc - control anchor text % ( Month 1-3 is one strategy // Month 4+ is another)
