I wanted to see where everybody in here puts their money. Thought it may be interesting given the audience.

I guess I would call that active venture, but in reality I would call it a liability :)

I invest a portion of my income into stocks and am now going to try to start a small ebay business.

simply because you just never know when something may stop earning money for you.

stocks / cd's / bonds -- all seems suckers bets with low interest rates

commodities - are already expensive - could go pear shaped at any time.

So yeah - everyday spending earnings beefing up new projects

    (just my opinion of course)

And great opinions they are. I would agree that stocks bonds and cash are worthless with these low interest rates. As long as rates are low, I will stick to commodities. Still holding out a bit on real estate, but I will soon be leveraging myself into there as well.

Personnaly i buy more and more websites and re-invest all my money in IM and domaining. For the moment it is a good strategy. I begin to work online for 3 years without any $ and now i can leave easily with my income.

To have the success you do not be sceared to invest your money, for me :
    1- take some risks
    2- take the money

I don't think you can lump stocks in there with cash and bonds. There are still bargains to be had and companies with strong growth, especially in emerging economies.

Definitely agree that bonds and cash are a chump's game - in fact you are looking at negative rates of interest on those asset classes if you factor in the hidden rates of real inflation that we see in the developed world today and especially the risk of a full on default in US government bonds at some point in the future. Physical non-USD denominated assets FTW.
