Welcome to my journey where I'll focus on building a profitable Quiz site!
These sites seem to be all the rage. You've probably seen similar journeys that are popping up – here, here, and here.
Given the hype, I want to try my hand at building one and seeing just how profitable these quiz sites are. Of course, slapping ads on a website isn't anything new, but hey, we aren't here to reinvent the wheel.
So go ahead and grab your Takis, Munchies, or Popcorn; because this journey is going to be one helluva ride.
Day 1, Hour 0
While the clock may have just started in this thread, I am hard at work getting things ready behind the scenes. I'll use this first post to update you on everything I've done so far, and what you can expect in the future.
The Art of Doing Stuff:
Under this section, you'll find my latest actions towards my goal. It's called The Art of Doing Stuff because staying motivated and on task truly is an art you can master over time. You know what they say, "action begets action." Once you start, you can stay started. A body in motion stays in motion. A plan in action stays in action. Even the smallest moves can have a powerful snowball effect.
The Art of Planning:
Under this section, you'll find the actions I plan to take before the next update to reach my goal. It's called The Art of Planning because action leads to motivation. If you don't know what you need to do next, you get lazy and stop seeing results. The plan for this section is simple, write it out and get it done.
Of course, there's a lot more I want to get done. But these small actions will pave the way for more. We'll start here and build from it.
Journey Goals:
"[Goals] so big you get uncomfortable telling small-minded people."
I've got a few goals for this journey. Some will be monetary; others will be personal.
Monetary:
Personal:
Ledger:
This is a simple way for me to keep track of my expenses. Not quite sure how I want to set this up yet, but we'll see how it evolves.
That's all, for now, folks.
Feel free to ask questions and make suggestions on anything from post format to the CDN I chose to what I ate for breakfast.
