Hi,

I want to know the best strategy for choosing domain names.

Example:
Keyword1: G KW Tools gives 1000+ results
Keyword1 = Variation1 + Word1 + Word2 + Word3 + Word4
Word3 = To/From/In/As kind of general words

Now first about the TLDs:
I am from India. So which one stands good?
.in OR
.co.in OR
.com

Next is about the domain names:
which one of the following is better?
Variation1Word1Word2Word3Word4.com/in/.co.in
Variation2Word1Word2Word3Word4.com/in/.co.in
Variation34Word1Word2Word3Word4.com/in/.co.in OR
Variation1.Word1Word2Word3Word4.com/in/.co.in
Variation2.Word1Word2Word3Word4.com/in/.co.in

Next is about the length of the domain name:

.com is most popular and widely used domain extn. So go for .com. If it is not available for your keyword then try .net and .org. You can even go for in or .co.in if you are targeting only Indian visitors.

Next is about the domain names:

If this site is for offline marketing, don't worry about domain name and extension. Just use a simple name which is easy to read and recognize.

I meant about subdomains since I had personally seen that some of my sites rank very well for subdomains

Domain name : I suggest your main keyword

.com/.co.in: What are you targetting? If it's worldwide: .com if it's india, .com would also be better.
Just don't use .co.in if you are going to target the whole world..

search "hip hop music" in google for an example of it's success
 
Your signature is bringing up a malware warning.

For offline business, depends on what you are selling. If you are selling SEO services to rank their site, get a keyword rich domain using a keyword you won't have much competition ranking for. If you are flipping the domain, get something with a dot-com and a name the business would want, like BestDentistMumbai.com or something like that.

From what I've heard Google posting, too much ephasis is spend worrying on the domain name and not enough on content. The value of the domain name is now diminished for google, don't sweat it.
