So i've been getting a decent amount of questions about what tools, websites, programs i use and i thought this might help a couple of noobies, and some oldies as well.

It's not completely whitehat? i guess it depends on how you use these tools, so if this is in the wrong section, please move it mod.

I do keyword research using G's Keyword Research Tool

Check difficulty by G'gling

intitle:"Your Keyword"
inurl:"YourKeyword"

to see how competition is &

Traffic Travis

to help see the top 10 competition.

Indexing a new site within 24 hours:

Free search engine submissions:

Link crawling - RSS feed creation - mass link pinging
http://linklicious.me/ (helps see new backlinks sooner, and in some cases just helps see them since G doesn't always get to all of them)

Real-time website stats (not Google Analytics)
http://www.statcounter.com/

A couple of Wordpress Plugins which are crucial as well:

  • All in One SEO Pack

  • Google XML Sitemaps

For link building, i use a few programs including:

  • Scrapebox

  • Article Marketing Robot

  • Xrumer

The most important thing i can recommend, is when you choose your anchor text, don't just pound at that anchor text nonstop, go a little broader.

Lets say you have primary keywords:

A, B, C

pound A, B, C the most (80%) but throw in another 4 minor keywords that wouldn't be so bad to rank for because not only will it look more natural, but you will also have a chance to rank for a few other keywords which might have enough traffic combined to cover at least one of the primary.

Also, remember to do deep-linking!

  • it looks more natural

  • it's easier to rank higher for a keyword that the page is optimized for - and thats what u do with an inner page - optimize it for other keywords, usually a little easier, but important nonetheless

  • more exposure - i feel like when i did linking to only the home page, G didn't like me as much. as soon as i started linking to inner pages, the homepage went up in serps - of course this is also because your overall website gets more backlinks and authority pass from ******** authority sites, but either way, i get this "you're kind legitimate" feeling

Finally, write UNIQUE content. If you can't do it, pay someone on BHW 5 DOLLARS to do it. Blast article sites with semi unique content, but always put the fresh, unique stuff on YOUR site. G eats up unique content.

Also! Do yourself a favor.

Put some outbound links on your site pointing to authority sites - which aren't competition

aka - Wikipedia, FTC, IRS, News sites, etc.

G likes to see that YOU'RE NOT just a dead end for it's users and it's spiders. It wants to know that you're not just trying to exist for yourself, but to help the community and it's users. You could stick the links anywhere, and a random anchor text like Wikipedia is not going to drive users away.

I know there's a whole ton of stuff i missed here, but i wasn't ready to write the SEO Bible just yet. If you have more info to contribute, please do. That's what BHW's all about :)

All great tools and good method- great for those starting out with SEO. Gunna have to try linking to the posts rather than homepage- been an uphill battle so far.

I already used Xrumer, scrapbox and Senuke But can u give me pros and cons of Article Marketing Robot ?

pros:

  • it has over 6k directories to sign up with (of which over 3k can be successful (not WP sites cuz the passwords are usually random, not what you specify)

  • autoconfirms registration emails

  • when submitting, you can get over 1000 successful submissions easily out of the 3000 signed up directories.

  • it can spin articles and resource boxes (switch links) for every time it posts to each directory, making each slightly unique

  • checks live links for you

  • runs full reports on all submissions

  • integrates with DeathbyCaptcha or Decaptcher

  • the creator (a member here) is always updating it, especially the database of the directories. When i first bought it, there were only 1200 directories.
cons:

  • Iif it could check the emails from WP directories (and some other sites) and change it's set password to the one they give you, that would be awesome.

  • missing a built in Captcha Solver
Do those indexing tools really work?

Absolutely, if not in 1 day, then 2. Just set it to ping 500 sites at first if you're afraid it's too much, but i usually let it go to the max 2522 or whatever 2500+ number it is.

I've used it on 10 sites and it's worked flawlessly every time.

Ahh thanks for reminding me. Yea you can add your own directories although I think itll be hard to find unique ones unless they're foreign.

lol, its ok dont use imtalk, no one's forcing you, and im sure the other 500 people on this forum who have used imtalk (search for the thread with the guy who originally posted the link) are not only fine, but have benefited greatly.

Thanks for your list and tips guys, I generally only use scrapebox, thinking of buying xrumer but don't like the monthly fees
