Hey guys,

I’ve been testing Suno AI for generating music and it sounds surprisingly good.

But I’m a bit confused about the copyright side of things.

Can we actually use these tracks for:
– YouTube videos
– Monetized content
– Commercial projects

Or is there still some risk of claims later on?

Would love to hear real experiences if anyone has used it long term. Thanks!

As long as you have Pro subscription or whatever the upgrade is called, you're good, you can monetize and do whatever you wish.
If they are generated on a free account then you can't use them for monetization.

It’s definitely good that you’re thinking about this early, because AI music can be a bit tricky depending on how the platform handles licensing. In most cases, it’s safer to double-check Suno’s current usage rights before using anything in monetized or commercial projects.

If you're using the Pro subscription, you own the commercial rights to it. You can still use music make with the free version and publish them on streaming platform. But It depends on how big you think your music and reputation will get someday. If you do become big, Suno will own the rights to the later.

did you check the terms of service for suno ai to see what it says about using generated tracks for monetized content?

Suno free tier = no commercial rights paid plan gives limited commercial use still new legal gray area check updates risky for big projects.

you can usually use Suno AI tracks for YouTube and monetized content if your plan allows it, but for strict commercial use it’s still safer to double check their license terms because AI music ownership rules can change.

AI music is often not copyright-free . it depends on the tool it was created with and what its terms are. Some platforms allow commercial use, but some may have copyright claims. Always check the license or you may get a strike or monetization issue on TikTok or YouTube.

Suno AI tracks can usually be used for YouTube and monetized content, but for commercial projects it is still safer to check the latest license terms because rules around AI music are not fully stable yet.

I am using suno music with distribution companies, my music is already live on spotify, apple music, sound cloud etc. and many more so with experience i am telling you dont worry go ahead, its going to work but in order to make really good money with ai music there are too much work involved, its not like you will create song and distribute through distribution companies adn you will start printing money, this is half story but if you stay long enough then you can surely do numbers, i am mid of this process so telling you with my own experience.

From what I understand, AI-generated music like Suno can be used in many cases, but it’s not always 100% risk-free yet. It depends on the platform’s terms and how the content was generated.

For personal use and basic content, it’s usually fine, but for monetized or commercial projects, there can still be some uncertainty around ownership and future claims.

It’s probably safer to double-check usage rights and avoid relying on it as your only source for important projects until things become more clear over time.
