Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

I too saw a drop on Dec 11th and now my bing ranking are getting better... so weird.

I just did few quick random checks....
I checked my competitor, I know they have 301 pointing to their website, just like me. But no, they didn't get hit.
I also went to some random pages I got my niche edits. Checked some other websites that have backlinks from the same website-pages as me. And no, it doesn't look that they got hit too...
So, I still have no clue what has just happen....

Looks like this update is about EAT, because I don’t see any correlation between 301, pbn, content and so on.. For each video I have unique amazing texts per 1k symbols (adult niche)
As I mentioned I’m in specific adult niche, my website 1 year, and there are not so many competitors, two of them are still in the top, I was third, but now I see there some news sites, wiki, youtube and other like pornhub, xvideos, xnxx and so on.

What EAT means please?
People jump to general conclusions 'expired domain' it's not the expired domain itself that is causing the problem, it's how it was used/redirected, the same applies to those who have built a website on an expired domain.
Expertise, Authority and Trustworthiness.
That's not the issue here. I know some sites that weren't hurt. It seems no one knows the possible cause of this.

This feels like more than EAT. If it was EAT why would I go from 1-3 all the way down to 60-90. Most of those websites are way less credible than mine. If I dropped to the 2nd page or high 1st page it would make more sense.

That is what I have felt as well, especially in the adult section I am seeing more authority ranking with articles, Wikipedia, youtube, Pinterest, etc with perhaps a couple of adult sites thrown into the mix, particularly around 2-word keywords. I am noticing also in a particular niche, every refresh I make is a different set of sites bar the top 3. I think 100% testing is going on and the more they test the more of a mess they make.
They don't want affiliates that is what I feel. I honestly doubt anyone will work anything out, because I feel there is no actual reason, they just grab a whole lot of sites whip them out and then when the sites they replace them with don't do as well, you will find your sites reappearing,
100% IMO they are testing different styles of sites to see the reaction, & we are the ones to suffer while they test. It's not over, one of my sites returned from November when 4 were hit 2 big ones 2 small ones, 1 of the big ones returned last week so that took about 3/4 weeks for that to come back.

Okay, so only one out of about 10 websites of mine actually dropped insane rank positions, and guess what? Only one inner page on said site dropped, and that inner-page had a 301 pointed at it. To me, this has to do with 301s. Not all of them maybe, but still.
And about it being affiliate sites getting hit: Couldn't be further from the truth in my case.
