Same here, tried to send with fetch as google but my post wasn't indexed
Wtf me too, everyone here is having the exact same issues
Fetch as google does not work for me too. I tried 2-3 weeks before.
Only my homepage, contact page, and a post I removed recently have been indexed.. Fetching doesn't even work anymore
Yes, we have the exact same issues, all perfectly identical. I don't know whether to be happy or not about this
so what is actually going on? is the update broken/premature?
I hope this will bring us some further informations:
This is like manual penalty, but without any warning in Google Webmaster Tool. Many years and I have never seen anything like this.
Did not know things got this bad, wow.
Damn, so this is a fuck*ng penalty.
Actually, he didn't tell that yet. I'm not sure really what he means by that lol.
Yeah, it's very unclear what exactly he means with that.
Also, you guys should check this out: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgzpY9C6pEXvfW0QVvp4AaABCQ there will be a webmasters Q&A. Maybe we can get some answers there?
I read many times, and tried to give meaning. I think he means that the websites not have any technical issues to justify all those mistakes, and the sites have been reevaluated (after te last update?).
So, don't know, but i'm not really happy about the answer
if this is penalty then atleast they should allow us to know that this was indeed penalty..but no messages at all at our webmaster tool ..
but i do agree that the impact is similar like you have been manualy reviewed (penalty) ..i've been punished before with site wide links penalty and the impact i could say 99% is similar with what we have today (index error)...from thousand literaly zero visitor
I think John Muller's answer is willingly unclear because he doesn't know what is happening... Please, if you're 100% white hat, go on replying on his post on Twitter, the more we are, the best.
Something is clearly happening at Google, I have no doubt, we need explanations.
He just said its not a manual penalty.
I don't think he knows whats going on as well. Let alone the fact that he actually had no idea what happened on 17th December just proves this.
Suddenly on 17th December Google started to re-evaluate our websites and the index went to shit...COOL STORY BRO...
EDIT: The thread on Twitter, so many german websites. I had this index/traffic problem on so many of my german websites. Seems like Google.de got hit hard with this.
It looks like he doesn't want to admit that they screwed it up badly.
He says that it might be "how the system sees your site now"...
Okay? What does that even mean? The system suddenly sees our sites as having no mobile friendly pages even though they were all mobile friendly the day before?
Separate names with a comma.
