Is it a good decision to start an agency based on one skill in SEO?

If you good at something, never do it for free :)

So, if you are good at the one seo skill you offer, go for it.

But remember the key to the success of your agency will be targeting the right prospects, explaining why they need it and convincing them you offer the best solution.

Yes, I always pitch my service to them who already know, "Why they need it"
Just I have to convince them why they need it from me.

While you pitch them, to close the prospects, don't ask them a say no question.

SEO is still in demand. If you are good at it, go for it. Initially invest as least as possible if you are starting an agency. As you get clients, then scale up gradually.

I didn't understand what you meant by, "don't ask them a say no question."
Always ask them things that will make them choose you. E.g, you ask; do you need my SEO skills? Prospect: No. It's a say no question. A reputation for an SEO expert is important, isn't it? They is a 98% chance the prospect will say yes, Even though it's a say no question too.

However a say no question is a question that requires a yes or no answer.

Depends on the one skill.

We don't know if it is a basic skill that every one has or something sophisticated.
Its a skill that lots of people have (Link Building) but I still believe that I do something different from others.

It is pretty valuable skills if you have the right connections to place backlinks on. Good luck.

P.S. my only tip is to have multiple incomes till your own project picks up.

If you're selling just one skill, you'll have a hard time competing with other agencies

The answer is simple: if you have only one skill you can't have an agency based on that. I recommend you partner up with some people doing stuff you don't so you can later create sort of an agency. You might also learn how to promote other skills you don't cover but know good freelancers who might do that for you. Then you might consider opening an agency. I recommend you do some more time as a freelancer if you didn't sort these relations out.

Please use the multi-quote function if possible, as it makes the threads flow much easier. How to multi-quote can be found here Newbie Guide

For sure my man, if you want to take it a step further you could focus on a niche in SEO and be the thought leader on it. Overtime you'll be able to demand higher prices as you are an authority there.
