Starting a blog reviewing kratom vendors

I've been lurking around BHW for over a decade, and have started some side IM projects but never took them seriously. Finally, I think I have a good unique niche that can yield some results through CPA referral links. I'm thinking about writing reviews of kratom vendors on the Internet, including a review of different strains and blends of kratom which produce different effects. I think it would be helpful to others who want to try kratom to get good information on which online dealers are best. I have found by experience that buying online in bulk often provides better kratom than you can get in a head shop or convenience store. For those that don't know, kratom is a tropical tree native to Southeast Asia, scientifically known as Mitragyna speciosa. It belongs to the same family as the coffee plant and is primarily found in countries like Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The leaves of the kratom tree contain compounds called alkaloids which have psychoactive effects. Kratom has been used traditionally in these regions for various purposes since ancient times, including pain relief or as a stimulant to boost energy. More recently, it has been found to help fight opioid addiction. Its effects can vary based on the dosage, at low doses is has a stimulating effect, but higher does are more sedative. I have been using the botanical herb kratom to manage depression and anxiety for about ten years now. In addition, it helps to curb cravings for alcohol. I used to be a heavy drinker because of my depression, and trying to quit cold turkey was not possible without worsening my depression. Kratom helped me maintain my mood. It helps improve my concentration as well as my motivation.

I'm not here to sell you on kratom. I'm just telling you what it is!

There are some issues, in that kratom is not legal in some parts of the world, like the United Kingdom and much of Europe. However, it is legal in most parts of the United States and Canada, save for a few states and provinces and local jurisdictions (i.e. counties/parishes/boroughs/cities) within them. Where I am located in the U.S., it is perfectly legal. The DEA and the Feds have long wanted to schedule it, but thanks to a grassroots campaign of kratom supporters, no such action has been taken and has always been "put on hold" in their words. Good old fashioned American Congressional can kicking. One reason I want to start such a blog is to inform people on kratom and refute some of the negative hype that has been going on around the plant.

I've already got a domain on namecheap.com set up: http://kratomfinds.com and have made an introductory post. I intend on adding affiliate links and reviews once I get going. Now, while I can do reviews based on personal experience, I'm obviously not going to have all the time, money, or patience to try every kratom dealer out there. There are already other blogs out there reviwing kratom vendors, but I'm thinking of using some scraping tools, ChatGPT, plus article spinners to make "original" posts. I do have quite a bit of money to throw down for SEO, for those that have that expertise. I'm using NameCheap's SEO for a free trial, but as I can imagine, theirs only goes so far and certainly isn't going to "game" Google, DuckDuckGo, or any other search engine out there.

Also, one thing I am NOT going to do is any reviews for the pure 7-OH extract from the kratom plant. It is the active chemical in kratom, and taking it directly has strong opioid effects and even has been called "legal heroin." Taking pure 7-OH is playing with fire, and the last thing I want is to be seen as endorsing it in a volutile climate where Big Pharma and the government are wanting to ban kratom completely. All they need are a few more reports about misuse of 7-OH so they can paint kratom as a whole as something "dangerous" that needs to be banned. Taking kratom powder/capsules vs. 7-OH extract is like drinking coffee vs. drinking a cup full of notihng but caffeine powder. That can cause hypertension and is VERY dangerous.

But nonetheless... What do you guys think? Solid idea?

That actually sounds like a solid angle. Kratom reviews sit in an interesting niche passionate community, recurring buyers, and plenty of search demand, but not a ton of genuinely helpful content out there. The fact that you’ve got personal experience with the product gives you a huge edge, since most review blogs in that space are clearly AI-spun with zero authenticity.


Instead of going heavy on scraping/spinning early on, I’d mix your firsthand experience with structured, semi-automated content think comparison charts, vendor summaries, or aggregated user feedback from forums and Reddit (reworded, not scraped). That keeps it readable while still scaling.


If you’ve got budget for SEO, focus it on proper on-page setup and long-tail intent keywords (like “[strain name for anxiety” or “best kratom vendors 2025”) before spending on backlinks. Once you have a few strong posts ranking, the affiliate links will start converting naturally.
