Hello,
so here is my problem:
A friend of mine and I started to post our music on spotify. Since he had some knowledge in Java we decided to use bots to increse our plays. We have the bots on servers with proxies. We use tunecore as our distributor.
Now the problem is, the bots are not generating any plays. We already talked to someone else who confirmed that the bots are totally fine and he even tested them on his songs, where the bots worked well. But they do not work with our songs. We can see on the artist account that we barely have any plays, only approximately 200 plays with two monthly listeners. One day we received over 100 plays and we know the two listeners and they didn't listen to the song that day.
Did spotify block the bots? Or are we making a mistake?
Help much appreciated.

You need to find a coder to check your bot, I don't you can get accurate answer other way.

You didnt say anything about accounts.

Does the bots have accounts attached?

Thank you guys for the quick response. We do have accounts attached to them, yes. And like aforementioned, we already let someone check the bots.

Go for a 2nd test and I think your bot IP has been blocked by spotify.

Your bots need to have premium accounts, or else the plays wont count.

I didn't know that. That could be true. But I looked it up on the internet and even the people on spotify claimed that non-premium users count.

I will go for a second try, thank you. And regarding the ip, we use proxies. The ips are being changed every 24-48h.
Iam just wondering why we received over 100 plays this one day.

Do you have multiple accounts for the bot or you are using the same account over and over again but with different proxy? Is the proxy public?
I saw somewhere (but not sure where) someone was selling 'plays' for your songs. From what I remember, it was around $50 and you could generate $100 in income.

We use several bots and they individually have their own accounts. The proxies we use are public. People provide those kind of services, but we prefer doing it ourselves, since we have the opportunity.

That cant be true. Your bots need premium Accounts, so the plays can be counted. I know that, because I did Spotify botting some montha ago

So we checked it all once again and it doesn't matter if they are free or premium accounts, it works with both. But still haven't found out what the problem with the bots is.

I think I may be able to assist you on this. Feel free to shoot me a PM. (haven't racked up enough responses to send one myself).
